Southern VIne

The Southern Vine wineries and hometowns are deeply rooted in History and Culture.  Home to Mark Twain, this region has so much to experience. Explore the caves, enjoy the live entertainment, riverboats and so much more!  The Southern Vine region is situated just off the banks of the Mississippi River to the east and to the west. Not merely connected by a bridge, Quincy, Illinois and Hannibal, Missouri anchor a region of nostalgia, heritage and charm.

From the east and to the west and scattered all in between, you will discover places on the National Historic Registry, artisans, shops, and antebellum homes. You’ll tour the lands that Mark Twain called home, the caves he played in and the river that he loved.

History has left a trail everywhere in this region. Take just one or travel them all, but make sure to stop along the way to savor the wine, the food and the history.
