Barnett Bungalow

The Barnett Bungalow, is a quaint, early 1900's home just over two blocks from the temple!

Amenities
With central heat and air conditioning it features a living room with queen-size sofa sleeper, love seat, TV with VCR and DVD, book shelf with early LDS and Nauvoo history, including LDS videos, and Nauvoo framed art. The completely remodeled kitchen has all new cabinets, counter-top and appliances, including full size refrigerator, range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, toaster, and all the utensils and dishware for twelve. There is luxurious wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and two bedrooms on the main floor, each with queen size beds. The dining room has a hardwood floor, with oak dining table and chairs for six, in addition to the drop-leaf kitchen table which seats four. The large remodeled bathroom has a shower/tub combination, and vanity, in addition to the laundry behind bi-fold doors. Up the carpeted stairs to the children's quarters, a family room with cable TV/DVD, full-size futon and twin beds, plus a bedroom with twin beds. Sleeps 10-12 people depending on age. All linens and towels are provided, plus a washer and dryer are available for guests use. Close to everything in town...walk to the temple, groceries, restaurants and shopping.

Barnett Colonial
The Barnett Colonial is a post Victorian style home located just over 2 blocks from the Temple! The home has been restored to retain its original charm and character.

Amenities
The entry foyer features an open oak staircase and oak colonnades in the entrance to the living room. There is also a desk in the entryway with a wireless internet hookup. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, extra seating and an entertainment center with cable TV and DVD player. Through the original oak pocket doors, the formal dining room has seating for six. The kitchen has new cabinetry, new appliances, and a table with seating for 4. There is also a wall of original cabinetry. Upstairs are three bedrooms. Two rooms have king size beds, and one with a queen size bed. Each room has TV, and extra seating. There are wood floors throughout and area rugs complimenting the d'cor of each room. The large upstairs bathroom is newly remodeled. There is also a small half bath downstairs for convenience. All utensils, dishware, linens, and towels are provided. A washer & dryer are provided for guest use. The outside of the home features a large fenced yard with view of the temple. A covered patio complete with patio furniture and a gas B-B-Q grill gives an opportunity to enjoy a quiet evening in historic Nauvoo. Fenced yard. Bywater House
The Bywater House has accommodated guests in Nauvoo since 2002. Now under new ownership and management this charming 1880's Victorian is being remodeled to enhance its original charm and character. It is located just 7 blocks from the Nauvoo Temple, within walking distance for most!

Amenities
The living room has a bay window, queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, extra seating and an entertainment center with cable TV and DVD player. The family room also has bay windows, and another sofa sleeper, TV/DVD and table seating four for games and meals. The kitchen has new cabinetry and flooring, new appliances, and a table with seating for 8. Upstairs are three bedrooms, two rooms with queen size beds and half baths, and one with two twin day beds and trundles. There is also another bathroom upstairs with full shower. New paint and carpeting throughout this charming Victorian home remodeled in spring of 2007! There is also another full bath (bath/shower combination) downstairs for convenience. All utensils, dishware, linens, and towels are provided. A washer & dryer are also provided for guest use. This large family home has the history and nostalgia of the past plus the modern amenities to enjoy your stay in Nauvoo. Gallery House
The Gallery House, built in the early 1900's, is now a fabulous family retreat, nestled in the heart of Nauvoo, allowing you to leisurely walk the historic and quaint shops down Mulholland Street, on your way to the temple while others fight for parking. Enjoy your evenings on the enclosed front porch after you walk across the street to indulge in an ice cream cone from the Mayfly Shop. Grab a frisbee or football from the closet and enjoy an evening outdoors on the beautiful lawn and under the welcoming shade trees around the home. The Gallery House is one of only a handful of vacation homes available right on Mulholland Street.

The Gallery House is newly remodeled (Spring 2006) with your family's comfort and enjoyment in mind. The living room area has two queen size sofa sleepers, recliner and entertainment center with cable TV/DVD & VCR, and LDS videos and books. The two bedrooms each have queen size beds, and there are two cots and sleeping bags available for kids, if needed, sleeping 8-10 people, depending on age. The bathroom has a vanity and shower/tub combination. The enclosed front porch creates a quiet sitting room facing Mulholland Street. The large dining room is furnished with a beautiful hand made Amish table for six, and there is a full kitchen with electric range and oven, microwave, toaster and all utensils and dishware for twelve. All the linens and towels are provided, plus there is a large laundry/utility room with a full size washer and dryer and extra storage space for your convenience. Hart House
Location, location, location! You can't stay closer to the Nauvoo Temple than at the Hart House, across the street from the temple! This location has an unobstructed view of the temple, in addition to a panoramic view of the Mississippi River. The Hart House, with its beautiful Nauvoo art, comfortable furnishings, and fantastic location will make your visit to Nauvoo a memorable stay!

Amenities
The home has a large front porch for visiting and enjoying the view of the temple and Mississippi River. The kitchen has most of the utensils and supplies a family would need while staying in Nauvoo. Also located on the main floor is a half bath for the convenience of guests. The two large bedrooms at the back of the home feature queen size beds and walk-in closets. The large master bedroom with a beautiful view of the temple, features a king size bed, walk-in closets, and a TV/VCR. The upstairs bathroom retains its deep original cast iron tub, but with the addition of a Victorian shower, and wrap around curtain. The basement has been completely remodeled with a family room featuring a queen size sofa sleeper, rocker-recliner, entertainment center with 31" TV, VCR, DVD, CD and Surround Sound. There are video cassettes and DVDs about Nauvoo and Carthage available to view. The full bathroom includes a Jacuzi whirlpool tub and separate shower. Also available for guest's use is a washer and dryer. The Tom Sawyer-Huck Finn bedroom is off the family room and has twin bunk beds.

Hopper House
The Hopper House in Nauvoo is just four blocks from the Nauvoo Temple! This cute cottage is the perfect 'Grandma's House' and has central heat and air conditioning.

The living room has a queen size sofa sleeper, recliner and entertainment center with cable TV/DVD & VCR, and LDS videos and books. The two bedrooms each have queen size beds, there is a full size sofa sleeper in the dining room, and there are two cots and sleeping bags available for kids, if needed, sleeping 8-10 people, depending on age. The bathrooms have been recently remodeled with a vanity and shower/tub combination upstairs and a vanity and shower downstairs. Includes a large dining room with a table for six, and in 2006 a full kitchen remodel with gas range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and all utensils and dishware for twelve. LDS art and historical Nauvoo pictures throughout the house. All the linens and towels are provided, plus on the back porch is a washer and dryer for the convenience of guests. Great location, with a front porch and nice yard, close to groceries, shopping, restaurants and the temple!

Hyrum Kimball Village - Historic Restored Homes

Welcome to Nauvoo's newest, historically restored guest homes. These homes have 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, full kitchen, a two-story great room and a dining room.

In addition on the first floor is the full kitchen and dining room and great room/family room, there is also a full bathroom. This floor has a vaulted ceiling above the Great room and Dining room area with a grand staircase to the second floor loft. The back of the home is open and airy with two story windows that bathe the home with light.

The second floor has Three Queen bedrooms. In the hall are two full bathrooms with sinks in a vanity.
