Nauvoo House/Bidamon Stable
Stay in the heart of the historic restored area on the Mississippi River for your family reunion or group. The 1860s historic Nauvoo House/Bidamon Stable is located at the south end of Main Street, directly across the street from two of the homes of Joseph Smith, Jr. Truly a rare opportunity for any group that should not be missed, the Nauvoo House provides a dormitory format with bunk beds on the second and third floor and a large commercial kitchen with service for up to 65 guests and a dinning/meeting room to fit the needs of your group. Both structures have complete modern rest room facilities, central air and heating. Neither place is handicapped accessible. The Bidamon Stable is directly north of the Nauvoo House. When Lewis Bidamon finished the Nauvoo House as it stands today, there was stone left over to build the stable. Today, the interior has been remodeled to accommodate up to 12 guests. The sleeping rooms are on the main floor and the kitchen, family room and bath rooms are in the basement level. The Nauvoo House is available for rent the year round. The Bidamon Stable is available September - April. Guests must bring their own bed linens and towels. There is a minimum of 20 guests per night at the Nauvoo House. There is no minimum cost for the Bidamon Stable.
