Looking for the best spots for a selfie in Nauvoo? Check out these spots for the perfect photo to remember your trip.

Fairy Wings

Located in the garden area next to the Weld House Museum the Fairy Wings are the perfect selfie spot! Be sure to look for the Fairy Doors scattered through downtown Nauvoo to post along with your selfie!

Lion

While you are there get a picture with the Lion. One of three Lion statues in Nauvoo, this guy used to sit on Mulholland by the Lions Club building. After they closed he moved to the Weld House. He looks grumpy but he's really nice.

(PS - the other two lions are by the old jail by City Park.)

Dinosaur

Check out the Dinosaur by the Flood Museum. He loves to pose for photos! Located just off Mulholland Street he's easy to find and makes for a fun photo!

Nauvoo Sign

Nothing says Nauvoo quite like this! This building was one of Nauvoo's movie theaters and still occasionally holds a performances. One of the most recognizable spots in town.

Welcome to Nauvoo

This sign on the west edge of town is a fun selfie spot. Be careful to completely pull off the highway. You can also park in the funeral home parking lot to get this shot.

Baxter's Winery

painting of a scene with a riverboat, a brick home, grapes, and a wagon. Wording says "Nauvoo beautiful place Welcomes You"

Baxter's Winery has a beautiful mural located in their entrance that perfectly embodies Nauvoo. This large painting greats for a great memory of your trip and you can step inside for a wine or grape juice tasting. The vineyards are also wonderful photo opportunities.

Cows

The cows and oxen are fun to take a photo with. They can be found in the pasture on Main Street. Do not climb the fence and go into the pasture because they can bite, but they will often cooperate for a photo by the fence.

Horses

At the Historic Sites North Visitors Center you can take a carriage ride pulled by horses. The Missionaries who give the rides will let you pet them, but please ask first. They are friendly but as with all live animals please be cautious. The horse drawn carriage rides are a Nauvoo favorite!

Crazy Iguana

Nauvoo's newest Mexican restaurant opened in 2026 and features a colorful wing mural on the side of the building. This newly remodeled building is full of fun selfie spots inside as well.

Abraham Lincoln

The Nauvoo Tourism Office at 1445 Mulholland Suite A has a Lincoln stand up perfect for a unique Nauvoo selfie. Nauvoo is part of the Lincoln National Heritage Area. Find out more at Looking for Lincoln.

Nauvoo Temple

The Nauvoo Temple is easy to spot at the top of the bluff in Nauvoo. Don't forget to take a selfie. The best spot is by the Joseph and Hyrum Smith statue across the street.

Nauvoo Women's Garden

The Nauvoo Women's Garden is a fun place for a selfie. Spend some time mimicking the statues for a fun afternoon of photos..
