The Nauvoo Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to advancing the general welfare and prosperity of both the citizens and the business community of Nauvoo. The Chamber focuses on promoting and supporting the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial, and educational interests of the Nauvoo area, with particular attention given to fostering growth and opportunity for the entire community.
The Nauvoo Area Chamber of Commerce supports and sponsors a variety of events throughout the year, including the Fireworks Display, Pumpkin Walk, Merriment on Mulholland, Meet the Chamber Night, and the Untold Stories Symposium. These events help foster community engagement and celebrate the unique spirit of Nauvoo.
Chamber meetings provide an opportunity for local business owners to come together, offering a supportive space for encouragement, networking, and collaboration on upcoming events.
"Any business firm, individual, association, corporation, partnership, or estate having an interest in supporting the Mission Statement shall be eligible to apply for membership upon completion of the application for membership and the payment of annual dues." Each member is expected to abide by all federal, state, and local laws.
The Chamber is nonpartisan and nonsectarian and does not support any candidate for public office or engage in activities not in the best interest of the Chamber or community. Members violating these limitations or engaging in conduct against the Chamber's Mission Statement will be reviewed by the Board of Directors, and appropriate action will be taken to protect the Chamber and its community standing.
The Chamber operates on a fiscal calendar year (January 1 - December 31). Annual dues are payable on October 1 and cover the entire fiscal year. New members joining during the fiscal year will have dues pro-rated through September 30 but will pay no less than 50% of the First Business Membership (FBM) dues.
