Husband and I stayed in the Ferrin Cabin - perfect for two with a comfortable king bed. Decor was cute and welcoming. Husband has mobility concerns, so the low front step and walk-in shower were important features for us. We were the only people at the cabins during our stay, so it was super quiet. Really enjoyed having available laundry facilities to gear up for the next leg of our road trip. 5/5 for the entire stay. Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat! Pros: - convenient to historic Nauvoo and Nauvoo Temple -Comfortable bed and pillows -Kitchen with cookware, utensils, and plates (would have loved a pizza cutter, though ❤️) -AC during heat wave was very appreciated! (Also saw a small heater for colder months) -Satellite TV (Dish Network) and DVD player has plenty of options -Cozy bathroom with plenty of towels, washcloths, and small soaps/shampoos provided "Pro tips for next stay": -Bring laundry supplies - including coins- if planning to do a few loads. Washers are standard top load, not oversized. $1/load (super reasonable!!) There is a nearby Dollar General to pick up laundry detergent/softener and we were able to exchange cash for coins at the Bank in town very easily. - pack some tissues. - pack a hair dryer. - Dollar General has some great items, but if you want a larger grocery store, they are located just 20 mins or so across the river in Keokuk, Iowa. - cabins are in a small rural town. Internet connection is free, but may experience some connectivity issues (and is not the fault of the owners). We luckily had great cell service and were able to use our phone hotspots for connectivity when needed. - satellite TV will be influenced by weather. This is also not the owner's fault. Bring some books/games and enjoy the ambience of a pioneer cabin!
