History

Founded in 2025

Built in 1980 - Remodeled in 2025

In 2025, Maple Canyon Co. purchased the building that contains the world-famous Annie's Custard Shop and 2 apartments upstairs. The building needed some work so, in Fall 2025, we did the following:

·       New ownership of the building

·       New management of the apartments

·       Installed new roof

·       Installed all new windows

·       Replaced flooring in both bathrooms and kitchen in Edmund’s Lodge

·       Reenforced 50 floor joists

·       Removed old wooden unsafe, steep staircase and replaced it with new custom two-tiered steel staircase

·       Converted storage room in Edmund’s Lodge into a second bathroom

·       Replaced wall-mounted A/C in Aunt Sally’s Place with a new Heater/AC

·       Replaced mini fridge in Aunt Sally’s Place with larger, new fridge

·       Added new standalone oven range with glass cooktop in Aunt Sally’s Place

·       Added new kitchen cabinet in Aunt Sally’s Place

·       Added new microwave in Edmund’s Lodge

·       Installed a new security camera in 5 locations on the outside of the building

·       Installed new solar motion detector lights on the outside of building

·       Replaced bug-attracting white spotlights on the front of building with bug-free yellow lights

·       Installed new window coverings

·       Installed new handrails for Annie’s doors

·       Installed a gravel driveway/parking lot on the vacant lot

·       Installed a soundproof floating ceiling system above the dining rooms of Annie’s Custard Shop downstairs. It is very effective in reducing the noise from late night parties, which are popular during Pageant.

·       We bought the lot next door to have room for new staircase, to provide room for one reserved parking spot for each apartment and to make room for the trash dumpster
