Celebrate 100 years of Scouting at Camp Eastman!
Description
Scouts from across the region will gather at Camp Eastman from August 28th through 30th, 2026, for the “Annivers-O-Ree,” a camporee held in honor of the camp’s one hundredth year since its founding in 1926 as Camp Burro. Throughout the weekend, the grounds will be filled with the sight of Scouts in camp, mindful that they walk in the very same places where generations before them pitched their tents a century ago. There is a quiet pride in knowing they share in a tradition so long sustained. A novel feature of the occasion will find Scouts trying their hand at a putting course set across the camp, each hole offering a glimpse into the history and growth of Camp Eastman. In sport and in learning alike, the past and present shall meet upon the same ground. The Annivers-O-Ree serves as a gathering where today’s Scouts take their place in a story one hundred years in the making.
Mark you calendar now for August 29th to celebrate 100 Years of Camping at Eastman! There will be many activities going on throughout the day, including Historical Displays, a CEDA Flea Market, a Fish Fry, a Campfire, and the Opening of the 2000 Time Capsule. The event will finish off with a Fireworks Display at dusk.
