Baxter's Winery
Baxter's Vineyards, the oldest winery in the state of Illinois, is a small family winery located in the historic town of Nauvoo, Illinois. The winery was established in 1857 by Emile and Annette Baxter. Today, Baxter's Vineyards continues within the same family with co-owners, Kelly and Brenda Logan. Kelly is a part of the fifth generation of Baxter's to grow grapes and apples and make wine in historic Nauvoo.
Press House Winery
Press House Winery is a small, family-owned and operated vineyard and winery. Koechle Vineyards has been in operation since the early 1900's and has continually produced grapes since its inception. Our tasting room is open on weekends and serves slushies, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks, in addition to a wide variety of our wines. Press House Winery strives to produce exceptional wines and offer an authentic experience. Rheinberger Museum
The Rhienberger Museum is located in the Nauvoo State Park next to the oldest vineyard in Nauvoo. This house was built by Mormons in the 1840s, remodeled by Icarians, and later owned by the Rheinberger family. It serves as the Nauvoo State Park Museum, features a wine cellar and a press room, and is the only Nauvoo wine cellar open to the public. This is also the location of Nauvoo's first vineyard, which has been producing grapes since the mid-1800s. The museum itself exhibits artifacts from all periods of Nauvoo's history, from Native Americans to the introduction of Nauvoo Blue Cheese in the 1930s.
Green Frog Distillery
Located just outside of Keokuk, Iowa, Green Frog Distillery is just a short drive from Nauvoo. This locally made corn whiskey is uniquely Iowa. Stop by the tasting room and sample the variety of whiskey availalble.
Lake Hill Winery
Located just outside of Carthage, Illinois, Lake Hill Winery is known for its unique wines and its charming wedding venue. The venue stands amid a beautiful 3.5 acre vineyard and Carthage Lake, offering an authentic and unique winery experience.
