Whether you knit, crochet, or simply appreciate the craft, this is a warm and inspiring place to start. Open by appointment so make sure to schedule your visit in advance.

Nauvoo Emporium Quilts & More

Next, make your way to The Emporium Quilt Store. Here, quilting becomes both art and story. Take in the patterns, fabrics, and detailed work that connect generations of makers. Even if you’re new to quilting, it’s easy to appreciate the skill and care in every piece. They carry a unique line of Nauvoo themed kits for every needlework lover.

The Yarn House

Looking for even more vibrant yarn? Check out The Yarn House for hand dyed yarns. Located right on Mulholland Street in the old Library building, this beautiful new store is the perfect spot to find your next project.

Nauvoo Fudge Factory

Did you know that the Fudge Factory in Nauvoo handmakes their own fudge? You can stop in and watch them make the fudge behind the counter. They also make their own caramels and hand dipped candies. Stop in and see the process in person and take home a bit of Nauvoo Fudge.

Nauvoo Glassworks

Have you ever wanted to blow glass? You can do that at Nauvoo Glassworks! Jim Topic will walk you through creating your own one of a kind glass masterpiece to take home. You can also stop by and enjoy his studio with his incredible glass art. You will need to make an appointment in advance, but it is well worth the experience.

Main Street Trades

The Historic Site in Nauvoo feature several hands on experiences in Main Street Trades. Each of these experiences shows how items were crafted in the 1840's and include blasksmithing, rope making, candle making, brick making, and several other trades. Live demonstrations and hands on activities for adults and children make the Main Street Trades a Nauvoo favorite.
