Quite simply we love good food. We started this venture in 2021 with ordering a custom food truck. We built a menu and waited for the food truck to come in. We waited...and waited....and waited. It finally came in fall of 2022, but it wasn't the truck that we ordered! We retrofitted everything the best we could and called it Toothsome. Toothsome meaning delightfully delicious, we worked at creating a toothsome menu. Anyway, we outgrew that in no time and started in on fixing up the old gas station to try to give Nauvoo what it really needed at the time - food options! Lock 19 was able to open as a beautiful new establishment in Nauvoo in 2024.
