The purpose of the Nauvoo Orchestra is to provide students and professionals with a training ground ensemble performance and to provide an outlet for their musical talents whether they be on an intermediate level or professional level.
We perform in Nauvoo, IL and our members and audience come from within 2-3 hours of the surrounding area.
The Nauvoo Orchestra was established in 2010 and became a 501c3 in 2011. Mrs. Peterson established the Nauvoo Orchestra. The first performance of the orchestra was held in October 2010, as part of the Women’s Guild Concert at the Community of Christ Church in Nauvoo. Subsequent concerts have been held each year in the fall, during the holiday season and the spring. The orchestra brings together musicians of all levels of expertise to perform beautiful music and provide a cultural experience for the citizens of Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
